In 2025, the scientific hotbed served more than 9 children and adolescents in Portuguesa

A total of 9,599 Portuguese boys, girls and young people participated in the extraordinary scientific and technological experiences that the Ministry of Science and Technology (Mincyt) offers throughout the country through the National Scientific Seedbeds Program.

With the support of the facilitators of the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (Fundacite), a student population of 5,395 children and adolescents was also served with workshops, vacation plans and scientific tours.

In addition, according to a press release, 4,204 students from first to third year of secondary education in 18 institutions were favored with this initiative, with the objective of supporting them in their future choice of university career.

For the university stage, the Youth Science Route was carried out in recent months, reaching 149 students from various institutions in a few weeks.
