INAMEH forecasts rains of varying intensity between August 17 and 22

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (INAMEH) predicts that the movement of tropical waves 38 and 39 will generate rains of varying intensity, between August 17 and 22, in areas of the east, center and west, with accumulations exceeding 60 millimeters.

The entity predicted that rainfall will occur more frequently during the afternoons and nights, due to the interaction of waves with the Intertropical Convergence Zone and daytime warming.

The highest cumulative numbers will be recorded in areas of the East, Central, Western Plains, South and Andes regions, as well as in the states of Zulia, Amazonas, western Bolivar and northeastern Guiana Esequiba.

The institute estimates, according to a report replicated by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), that the most important events will take place on the 17th, 18th and 23rd, although the weather scenario is conditioned by the activity of the Intertropical Convergence Zone and the Monsoon Valley, reinforced by daytime warming.

On the other hand, tropical wave 40 is located off the coast of Africa and will arrive in Guiana Essequiba between Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th of this month.
