A multidisciplinary team from the National Tourism Institute (INATUR) visited the community of Caño Grulla, in the state of Amazonas, with the objective of inspecting the tourist and gastronomic routes “The Legacy of Budare: Millennial Amazonian Flavors” and “Juãta Aje”.
These circuits highlight the cultural, ancestral and natural wealth of this region, consolidating the State's commitment to community tourism.
Officials participated in the traditional preparation of casabe and manoco, foods that form an essential part of the indigenous culinary identity. In addition, they enjoyed the Labio Grueso well, a natural attraction of great value for community tourism.
The tour included the hiking route to the secret cave “Juãta Aje”, also known as Tucusito, a space considered an ancient school because of its cave paintings and its profound meaning within the sacred worldview, where part of the spiritual legacy of the original Amazonian peoples was evidenced.
Also present at the event were representatives of the National Institute of Indigenous Languages of Venezuela, the National Park Institute, the Ministries of Popular Power for Ecosocialism; Indigenous Peoples and Communes, together with the Secretariat of Tourism and Community Fund.
