The Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its deep concern about the situation in Venezuela following the military aggression undertaken by the United States and called for disputes to be resolved through dialogue to safeguard regional stability.
In its official statement, New Delhi reiterated its support for the welfare and rights of the Venezuelan people. The statement was issued after the large-scale attack launched on Saturday by Washington, which resulted in the capture of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, who were later transferred to New York, Telesur reported.
The President of the United States, Donald Trump, reported that both will be subject to judicial proceedings for alleged drug trafficking crimes, accusations rejected by Caracas, which considered them unfounded and political.
