Through the different
Popular Assemblies, the inhabitants of the state of Táchira and Yaracuy debated and nominated
the seven communal projects that will be held in the Grand
National Popular Consultation, scheduled for next Sunday, February 2, throughout the country.
According to information from Venezolana de
Televisión, in the Torbes municipality of Táchira state, from the Fuerte Murachí
Educational Unit, representatives of the communities discussed
plans for infrastructure, construction of aqueducts,
adjustments to public lighting, asphalting, repair of sidewalks and boulders, which resulted in seven plans that will be chosen.
In addition, in its interventions, the
People's Power highlighted its leading role in working together with
government entities to improve their territories.
Likewise, the 112 communes that operate
in the 14 municipalities of Yaracuy applied for projects
that the town will evaluate and approve.
In this regard, the president of the National
Fund of Popular Power Service, Pablo Giménez, who was in the revolutionary
socialist commune “Ernesto Ché Guevara” of the San Javier parish, in
San Felipe, said that the mechanism of the Great National Popular Consultation strengthens
democracy and allows communities to actively participate in the transformation of the State.
“We continue to make progress in the construction of the communal State, with projects that are not decided in the bureaucratic offices of Caracas, but are defined, prioritized and executed directly in the communities, by the citizens themselves,” he said.
