INNT restricts the movement of cargo transport operators on December 24 and 25

The National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT) informed cargo transport operators that, between Wednesday 24, starting at 00:00am, and Thursday, December 25, 2025, the circulation of cargo weighing more than 3,500 kg will be restricted, with the objective of ensuring road safety, during this Christmas season.

This traffic ban does not apply to vehicles that carry the following products and services: perishable and non-perishable food, and their respective raw materials; road assistance, emergencies, police or military, telecommunications equipment for the defense of the nation.

He also mentioned drinking water and the chemicals necessary for its purification, short-term medicines, carbon dioxide (dry ice), oxygen (gases or liquids necessary for the operation of health centers), solid waste of household origin (in vehicles authorized for this service), gas for domestic use and fuels intended for the supply of service stations.

In addition, carriers were urged to take the necessary precautions in the face of the current traffic restriction and to strictly comply with the measures established to ensure road safety.
