As the Middle East conflict worsens, international oil prices rise again this Thursday, reaching up to 10% and returning to the $100 zone,
The reference indices have increased by more than 60% so far in 2026, despite the reduction in their price in recent days, which is now interrupted as they resume the upward trend and trade close to their highs for the year.
Although the International Energy Agency announced on Wednesday the release of 400 million barrels of oil from its reserves, the plan failed to calm investors down.
Faced with doubts about whether reserve releases would be sufficient to cushion the impact of the Middle East supply shock, Brent crude oil futures rose as much as 10.4% to $101.59 a barrel. U.S. crude oil futures last traded 5.2% higher at $91.82
