INTT consolidates Standing Committee to regulate road safety in the motor sector

The National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT) consolidated the development of the Permanent Commission for Road Safety and Accident Reduction in the Motor Sector, in order to focus and implement preventive and regulatory measures of co-responsibility between the INTT and the companies providing logistics delivery services.

In a post on the Instagram account of the Ministry of Popular Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, the president of the INTT, Luis Granko, headed the third working group together with Deputy Minister Jesús Rojas Tarazona and director Jessica Falcón.

The space was joined by the Traffic Directorate of the CPNB, the Secretariat of Public Security of Baruta and local police from all over the metropolitan area.

In this regard, Jessica Falcón reported that companies providing delivery logistics services must be authorized by the INTT, even if the route is agreed between the driver and the user, but the route is previously determined by the application. Consequently, for the institute, the service provider will be the company that owns the application.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Youth applauded the initiative of the transport agency. In his speech, he explained the certification program that they carry out in conjunction with the INTT, designed to educate motorized young people and promote road prevention.

In addition, Rojas Tarazona made a public call to parcel and home delivery companies to formally join these institutional actions.
