INTT officials are not authorized to remain at gas stations performing functions

The staff of the National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT) has no competence in the distribution, administration and commercialization of fuel, so officials of this agency are not allowed to remain in service stations.
In this regard, in a statement released this Wednesday, the INTT indicated that no official of this institution is exercising functions in fuel supply stations nationwide.

The National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT), attached to the Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, through this communication informs the general public about an important point, related to our institutional competencies.
It is public knowledge that the INTT has specific powers and responsibilities established in Article 23 of the Land Transportation Act and its Regulations, which focus on regulating the National Land Transportation System, ensuring road safety, issuing licenses, controlling the vehicle fleet, public and private transport of people and cargo.
It is important to clarify that the personnel of the National Institute of Land Transportation are NOT competent in the distribution, administration and commercialization of fuel, so on February 9, 2024, through Memorandum No. 0684, instructions were given that officials attached to the INTT should not remain on duty at fuel supply stations throughout the country.
Likewise, we reiterate that currently no official of the National Institute of Land Transportation is performing functions in fuel supply stations nationwide.
