At a strategic meeting held at the headquarters of the National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT), the president of the institution, Dr. Luis Granko Arteaga, together with representatives of the Superior Body for Freight Transportation, trade unions and security authorities, established the lines of action that guarantee the operation of the transport sector, a fundamental pillar of the Venezuelan economy.

During the day, it was specified that the Register of Freight Transport Operators (ROTC) is an exclusive procedure for legal entities that provide commercial services. This measure ensures compliance with the legal framework for those who mobilize domestic production.

Administrative simplification

As part of the policies of modernization, simplification of procedures and the fight against management, the INTT announced the establishment of a flexible system. This mechanism allows carriers to select the office of their choice for document delivery. The process, designed under principles of agility and transparency, consists of the following steps:

Online Registration: Service providers must start their procedure through the official portal www.intt.gob.ve .

Consignment: Once the digital procedure has been completed, the user must submit the documentation (under the reported folder model) to the selected office.

Inspection and approval: The process culminates with the Partial Review of the Vehicle at the INTT headquarters and the final approval of the registration.

To ensure the success of these strategies, it was agreed that special ROTC operatives should remain in place throughout the country, as well as the provision of all 75 INTT offices in the country for Partial Vehicle Checks.

Comprehensive support

The meeting also served to consolidate a personalized advisory scheme for carriers. The Venezuelan State, focused on the welfare of the “working class behind the wheel”, reaffirmed its commitment to accompany the sector in every step of managing land transport.

In this regard, proposals were addressed in the area of vehicle approval and public safety, in order to protect the integrity of carriers and cargo on the country's main road arteries.

Strategic Alliance

This meeting was attended by C/M Willian Blanquis, vice-president of the INTT and director of Traffic of the PNB; Charles Guillén, director general of Cargo of the Ministry of People's Power for Transport, and the presidents of EMILTRA and Corpologistics.

In addition, the presence of union leaders from Catacentro, the Regional Cargo Chamber, Asocontainer and United Graneros, confirms the willingness of the Bolivarian Government to work hand in hand with those who are committed to the country's development. The central objective is the consolidation of robust, safe and efficient cargo transportation for the Venezuelan people.
