The authorities of the Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace (MIJP) and the National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT), defined work guidelines for the Safe Holy Week 2025 device.
The meeting was led by the Deputy Minister of Prevention, Public Security and Peace Quadrants, Endes Palencia, accompanied by the president and vice-president of the INTT, Luis Granko and Willian Blanquis, respectively.
In addition, Heads of Offices of the entity with road competence, liaisons from the Bolivarian National Police Corps and the country's Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps participated.
The main objective of the Safe Holy Week 2025 device is to reduce road accidents and ensure the enjoyment of religious, recreational and sports activities in places of interest in the country, according to the INTT press.
In this regard, INTT workers, together with public security and emergency care bodies, will reinforce their deployment at citizen service points, tolls, land and trunk terminals.
“In this holiday, we will focus on reinforcing prevention work with the motoring guild, since, according to statistics, it is the sector most affected by road accidents,” Palencia urged.
In this regard, he instructed that greater emphasis be placed on road safety education and prevention, aimed at motorcyclists, a very vulnerable sector that, according to statistics, is more frequently involved in road accidents involving injuries and fatalities.
He asserted that to guarantee the success of this device: “we will work on popular, military and police fusion, so that our people have a healthy enjoyment with the family.”
For his part, Granko, stressed that the men and women of the INTT “are on the street and we will remain on a permanent deployment with the people”, not only bringing institutions closer to the communities so that they can access vehicle procedures directly and without intermediaries, but also to reaffirm that every INTT worker is the ally of drivers, especially motorized drivers
With these actions, the Bolivarian Government reaffirms its commitment to road safety and the well-being of the population, and invites all Venezuelans to enjoy this holiday in a prudent and responsible manner on their roads.
