Iran and Pakistan demand action from the UN against Israel

This Wednesday, the Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan demanded that the Security Council of the United Nations (UN) implement measures against Israel to prevent further attacks on neighboring countries and diplomatic offices located abroad.

Both nations expressed in a statement that they are interested in fighting insecurity, terrorism and organized crime; and they condemn Israel's genocide against the Palestinian people and the blockade in Gaza, which has caused the displacement of millions of people and the death of more than 34,000 people since October 7.

The text assures that Iran and Pakistan defend the urgent need for an “immediate and unconditional ceasefire, unimpeded humanitarian access to the besieged people of Gaza, the return of displaced Palestinians, as well as ensuring accountability for the crimes being committed by the Israeli regime”.
