Iran: Ayatollah Ali Khamenei presided over President Raisi's funeral

Last Wednesday, the supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, presided over the funeral of the late President Ebrahim Raisi in Tehran, leading the prayer over the remains of the president and his companions.
The event took place at the University of Tehran before the coffins of Raisi, Iranian Foreign Minister Hosein Amir Abdolahian and the other six who died in the helicopter crash last Sunday in the northwest of the country.
Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei was accompanied by Iranian government officials, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces and the President of the Parliament, among other officials
After the prayer chaired by Ali Khamenei, a procession began from the University of Tehran to Azadi Square, which had thousands of people to say goodbye to President Raisi.
