The government of the Islamic Republic of Iran warned that Western countries will suffer consequences for designating the Corps of Guardians of the Islamic Revolution (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.

“These countries that take such actions against our system must be held to account and will pay the price,” said Iran's Intelligence Minister, Esmail Jatib, during his speech on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, this Wednesday.

According to information reported by Hispantv, he added that European countries that have served as a refuge for terrorist groups have chosen to blacklist the Corps of Guardians of the Islamic Revolution, which he described as one of the “most effective forces in the world in the fight against terrorism”.

“Iran's authority, pride, perseverance, jihad and courage have been possible thanks to the constant presence of the people on stage, while the West continues to increase its own vulnerability with these hostile actions,” he stressed.
