Iran confirms firm support for Venezuela in the face of false narratives and imperial threats

The People's Power Minister for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, made a telephone call on Tuesday with his counterpart from the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, who confirmed the Persian nation's support for the South American country in the face of threats from the United States (USA).

“The Iranian foreign minister expressed strong support for Venezuela in the face of the aggressions and false narratives that proliferate in the hegemonic media, which serve imperialism to attack the Venezuelan people,” Gil explained in a message released on his Telegram channel.

He added that Araghchi “expressed the full support and support of the Government and the people of Iran, both at the level of international organizations and in the Group of Friends in Defense of the Charter of the United Nations, of which both countries are part .”

Both diplomats reiterated “that the unity of our free and sovereign peoples will always prevail over the lies and threats of imperialism.”
