Iran congratulates election results and reiterates unconditional support for the Venezuelan president and people

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, through an official statement published in the account of the Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil Pinto, thanked the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian , for his support in the face of the electoral results that favor his counterpart Nicolás Maduro.

Below is the full text of the statement:

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, received a phone call today from the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, in which he congratulated the election results while expressing his unconditional support for both the president and the Venezuelan people.

The Iranian president reaffirmed the will of his government to deepen cooperation with Venezuela in all spheres, stating that both peoples are united, indissolubly to face common challenges, conquering the prosperity of both peoples.

President Nicolás Maduro Moros, on behalf of the government and people of Venezuela, thanked President Pezeshkian for his gesture and accompanied the desire to move forward, in a united manner, deepening the ties of cooperation between the two sister nations.
