Iran expressed solidarity with Venezuela in the face of the theft of a ship loaded with oil by the United States

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, reported that this Saturday, December 20, he received a call from the Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, with whom we reviewed the state of bilateral relations within the framework of the strategic agreement of the relationship.

In this regard, in his account on the social network Telegram, Gil specified that they also analyzed “recent events in the Caribbean, especially threats, acts of piracy by the United States and the theft of ships loaded with Venezuelan oil.”

In that scenario, he stressed that Venezuela received a full show of solidarity from the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He also stressed that Iran offered Venezuela “cooperation in all areas to confront piracy and international terrorism that the United States seeks to impose through military force, violating the United Nations Charter and international law.”
