Iran thanked China's support in the face of US threats

The Foreign Minister of Iran, Abbas Araghchi, held a telephone conversation with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, whom he thanked for China's support in the face of pressure and threats from the United States (USA).

The diplomats also reaffirmed the will of their nations to strengthen and expand bilateral relations in all spheres, according to a note from Venezolana de Televisión.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi emphasized the commitment of the Islamic Republic to protecting the security of its citizens against threats such as those of Daesh. At the same time, he condemned the US policy of manipulation against Iran, and warned of any new enemy maneuver, which could lead to destabilization and regional chaos.

In addition, he denounced the use of economic tools and trade tariffs by the United States to pressure developing countries, including Iran and China.

For his part, Minister Wang Yi expressed the continued defense of Iran's legitimate positions in international forums, and stressed the need for all States to respect the Charter of the United Nations and the norms of international law.

The foreign minister of the Asian giant specified that the world must not return to an era marked by the use of force, and insisted on the importance of respecting Iran's national sovereignty as a key power in the region and its role in maintaining peace and regional security.
