Last Wednesday, the spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Naser Kanani, condemned “in the strongest terms” the “political, unusual and senseless” measure of the Canadian Government to include in its so-called list of terrorist groups the Corps of Guardians of the Islamic Revolution (CGRI), which is part of the country's Armed Forces.

Canada's Security Minister, Dominic LeBlanc, accused the Islamic Republic on Wednesday, without any evidence, of allegedly having “shown contempt for human rights” and a “desire to destabilize the international order”.

Hispantv , explained that Tehran promises to give a “reciprocal and proportional” response to Canada's reckless measure of declaring the Iranian Guardians Corps a “terrorist group”.

Kanani also said that Ottawa's reckless decision constitutes “a hostile act contrary to the accepted norms and principles of international law, including sovereign equality and non-intervention in the internal affairs of States, and is an example of aggression against the national sovereignty of Iran.”
