The spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Esmail Baqai, warned that his country will respond “firmly” to a possible attack by the United States (US) on the nation's nuclear facilities.
Jake Sullivan, White House national security advisor, presented outgoing President Joe Biden with options for a possible attack on Iran's nuclear facilities if the country is close to developing nuclear weapons before January 20.
HispanTV, citing several sources with knowledge of the matter, explained that some of Biden's collaborators, including Sullivan, believe that a possible US attack on nuclear power plants in the Islamic Republic would be feasible because of what they called “the weakening of Iran's allies in the war against Israel.”
Baqai has denounced the repeated threats posed in recent years by the United States against Iran's nuclear facilities, warning that any threat or use of force against a State is prohibited, according to the principles of the Charter of the United Nations (UN).
