The head of the Strategic Council for Foreign Relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Kamal Kharrazi, noted that the United States (USA) is not ready for genuine negotiations based on mutual respect, in reference to Donald Trump's attempts to impose his agenda by force.
The Iranian official warned about the unilateral approach of the US president, the weakening of global cooperation mechanisms and the removal of any possibility of a lasting understanding with the Persian country or with other regional powers.
Kharrazi, in a statement, reiterated Tehran's willingness to talk, but stressed that peace cannot be achieved through coercion or military threat.
According to the spokesperson, the United Nations (UN) lost its value as a multilateral negotiating space and the international scene became the theater of demonstrations of power, in which the United States seeks to impose its political and military will.
