Thousands of Iranians took to the streets of the country's main cities to express their solidarity with the Palestinian people and demand the full implementation of the ceasefire in Gaza in a march called “Basharat-e Nasr” (Announcement of Victory).

The mobilization moved from the University of Tehran to the emblematic Azadi Square, and was attended by clergy, students, families of martyrs and children, who held up banners with slogans and slogans such as “No to commitment, yes to resistance”, “The peoples are awake”, and “Palestine will win”.

In addition, similar mobilizations took place in other cities such as Tabriz, Ahwaz, Shiraz, Bandar Abbas, Isfahan and Gorgan, where the participants reaffirmed their support for the Palestinian people and denounced the support of Western powers for the Israeli regime.

During the march in Tehran, the organizers released a statement demanding the “immediate and complete withdrawal of the occupying forces from Gaza”, as well as the acceleration of the delivery of humanitarian aid and the urgent start of the reconstruction of the devastated areas.

“We, the participants of this national and popular movement, while stressing the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, believe that the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement must be accompanied by the total withdrawal of the occupying forces from all populated areas of the Gaza Strip, the facilitation and rapid delivery of humanitarian aid, and the immediate beginning of the reconstruction of destroyed hospitals, homes and infrastructure,” reads the text.

The Israeli regime unleashed its genocide against Gaza on October 7, 2023, and since then, more than 67,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have lost their lives in Israeli attacks on the Strip.
