Islamic leader assured that the US has made mistakes with respect to its territory

This Wednesday, the leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, assured that over the past few decades, the United States (USA) has made mistakes with regard to his country's issues.

“After the Revolution, over the decades, Americans often made mistakes with regard to Iranian issues,” the top Iranian leader quoted Hispantv as saying.

Ayatollah Khamenei during a meeting held in Tehran, the capital, with thousands of citizens of Qom, on the occasion of the historic uprising of the people of this Iranian city on January 9, 1978 (19 dey of 1356 in the Persian calendar) against the Pahlavi monarchical regime.

According to Ayatollah Khamenei, Pahlavi-era Iran “used to serve as a formidable stronghold for American interests.”

“It was from the heart of this fortress that the Revolution was born and emerged. Americans didn't realize [this], they were deceived, they fell asleep and became unconscious,” he said, adding that this was “an Americans' miscalculation.”
