The State of Israel and the Palestinian movement, Hamas, set next Sunday, January 19 at 4 p.m., as the date for the first phase of the exchange of hostages as part of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

The agreement signed between Hamas and the Zionist entity will take effect on that date starting at 12:15 p.m. local time.

According to the Lebanese daily Al Mayadeen, quoted by Telesur for every Israeli female or minor hostage released, 30 Palestinians kidnapped in Zionist prisons, including women and minors, will be released.

For every middle-aged or sick Israeli hostage, 30 Palestinians kidnapped from those age and sick groups will be released. For every Israeli soldier released, the occupation will release 30 Palestinians sentenced to life imprisonment, and 20 with long sentences not exceeding the remaining 15 years to serve.

The Telesur portal also reported to the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation, Kan, according to which 110 kidnapped Palestinians, who are serving long sentences, will be released from Zionist prisons in exchange for nine sick and injured Israelis. The exchange includes the release of a thousand Palestinians kidnapped after October 7, 2023, who did not participate in the fighting, as well as the release of three Palestinian prisoners with life sentences for every adult Israeli detainee.

As part of the agreement, 290 Palestinians imprisoned with long sentences and 600 Palestinian captives with sentences of more than 15 years will be released. In this phase, the agreement provides for the total withdrawal of Israeli troops from the Philadelphia corridor (strip of land between Gaza and Egypt). This will occur within 50 days after the implementation of the agreement.

In addition, a security zone will be created between Gaza and the Israeli settlements (which are located in occupied Palestinian territory). This security zone will be 700 meters wide, except in five areas where it will reach 1.1 kilometers. Previously, Hamas announced that it will publish in stages the list of kidnapped Palestinians who will be released from prison, which will be done through the Prisoners Office.
