This Wednesday, in the militant Islamist movement HAMAS, they reached an agreement on a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the release of the hostages, according to a Sputnik publication that cites the Israeli state broadcaster Kan.

“The movement affirms that it responded responsibly and positively to the proposal, guided by its commitment to our firm people in the Gaza Strip to stop the Zionist aggression and put an end to the massacres and the current genocidal war to which they are being subjected,” HAMAS said according to the media.

Previously, negotiators in Qatar seemed close to sealing an agreement on a ceasefire in Gaza after 15 months of war. The time seems to have come.

In the month of October 2023, Israel launched a declaration of war against HAMAS and launched a series of bombings on Gaza. To date, more than 46,500 Palestinians have lost their lives.
