An international monitoring report carried out by the group Armed Conflict Location and Event Data (ACLED) revealed that Israel has carried out more than 600 military personnel against Syria over the past year, mainly in the southern provinces.

ACLED records specify that the actions included aerial bombings, drone attacks and artillery, with an average of about two offensives a day

The most affected areas were Al-Quneitra, with more than 230 attacks, Daraa, with at least 160, and the Damascus area, with more than 70 incursions, between December 2024 and November 2025.

According to HispanTV, after the departure of former President Bashar al-Assad and the collapse of the former Syrian army, Israeli forces occupied vast territories in the south of the country, establishing permanent positions and taking control of strategic water resources. The military presence expanded to encircle the capital, Damascus.

The offensive continues despite the lack of response from the government led by the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) group, led by Abu Muhamad al-Golani, a former commander linked to Daesh and Al Qaeda.
