Early Sunday morning, a Palestinian citizen lost his life and several others were injured due to gunfire by Israeli occupying forces in the Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

According to medical sources quoted by Telesur, the attack was aimed at members of the Ebeid family, who were in the immediate vicinity when Israeli forces opened fire. This incident highlights the persistent violence in the region, which does not cease despite established ceasefire agreements.

In addition, an Israeli drone shot at citizens in the Zafarana area, near the Maghazi refugee camp, although no casualties were reported. Since the ceasefire came into effect on January 19, after more than 15 months of conflict, Israel has continued its attacks on civilians, calling into question the effectiveness of the agreement and the real intention behind Israeli military actions.

The figures are alarming since the beginning of the conflict in October 2023, the Palestinian death toll has reached 48,453 people, with more than 111,860 injured. These numbers reflect a humanitarian crisis that continues to worsen, while attacks continue in several areas such as the West Bank and Gaza. The recent attack in Shujaiya is just one more in a long series of ceasefire violations.

The situation is further aggravated by military incursions into cities such as Qusra, where several residents were suffocated by tear gas. Israeli forces have intensified their operations in the West Bank, using tactics that include indiscriminate shooting and the throwing of sound bombs. These attacks have led to a significant increase in tensions and have left many Palestinian communities unprotected.
