The Italian justice system certified the innocence of Alex Saab and his wife of all the charges against him and closed a case that never had evidence or support, his spouse and also president of the Great Mission Back to the Fatherland of Venezuela, Camilla Fabri, reported this Wednesday, January 21.

“After 6 and a half years of persecution, an absurd and profoundly politicized case was closed in Italy. There was no trial, no admission of responsibility, no guilt, and of course no conviction,” wrote the human rights defender on her social media account.

The Public Prosecutor's Office of the Court of Rome published the official document confirming this information, where Saab and Fabri are innocent, it reported on its Venezolana de Televisión website.

“The truth is written and signed by the Prosecutor's Office. The rest is a media lie. We are left with the truth and our innocence,” Fabri added in his message.

After years of investigating alleged “money laundering”, without finding evidence of guilt, the process was a “toxic narrative” in media, platforms and pseudo-journalists that were practically constituted as parallel “courts”, they said.

The Italian prosecutor's office issued the notification confirming the filing of the case without charges, which overturns any previous allegations of money laundering. In addition, justice ordered the return of seized property (such as an apartment in Rome) due to the conviction of innocence.

Faced with this situation, Alex Saab took the opportunity to respond to one of these ultra-right pseudo-journalists who was dedicated to misinforming about the case and against his person and that of his wife.
