Jamaica receives more than 20 tons of humanitarian aid from Venezuela

The flight of the Bolivarian Government of Venezuela, represented by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Caribbean, Raúl Li Causi, arrived this Thursday at Norman Manley International Airport (KIN) in Kingston, Jamaica, carrying a shipment of 20.5 tons of humanitarian aid for this Caribbean people, after the devastation caused by the passage of hurricane Melissa.
“This aid was received by the authorities of the Government of Jamaica and will make it possible to provide an immediate response to the population, with medicines, food, drinking water, emergency equipment, among others,” he said.
The diplomatdestacó that Venezuela is the first nation to respond in record time to the Caribbean island.
“We delivered humanitarian support and it will be deployed by the competent authorities in the areas most affected by Hurricane Melissa,” he said.
