The diver Jesús González won the bronze medal in diving on the 10-meter platform at the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games, being the only metal for Venezuela in ornamental jumps

The Venezuelan managed to climb to third place on the podium after achieving a score of 419.55 to accompany the Mexicans Randal Willars with 570.70 (gold) and Emilio Treviño with 484.60 (silver).

In the first round, the national made a jump of three and a half laps inward in a grouped position with a degree of difficulty where he obtained stable scores between 7.5 and 8.0 to add 72.00 points.

He obtained the highest score in the fourth round with 77.55 points, after standing out with a complex dive of three and a half laps backwards in a carp position.

He reached his third best score equal to 72.00 after showing up at the closing with two and a half laps backwards, which he adorned with a turn and a half and executed with a tent position.
