The president of the National Assembly (AN), and of the Special Commission for the Review of Electoral Rules and Laws, Jorge Rodríguez assured that 100% of the political representation of Venezuela is participating in the preparation of the proposed electoral schedule.
Speaking to the media, after a meeting in the National Assembly with representatives of all the political parties that live in Venezuela, Rodríguez said that the meeting is a clear message from those who do want to participate in the upcoming elections.
“This is a reliable proof of what the People of Venezuela really want, yearn for, regardless of our political position, our creeds, the cultural, religious worldview, of which we each want military, which is to follow the democratic path,” he said.
He also indicated that factors that are not interested become blind, deaf, but not dumb and will try to minimize the importance of the encounter. “They are the violent ones, those who want death, those who ally drug traffickers and foreign murderers to request invasion,” he said.
Rodríguez emphasized that the National Assembly cannot draw up any schedule but will submit a proposal for some dates to the National Electoral Council, which is the only entity, according to the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, can call elections.
“My intuition tells me that there will be several elections, at least nine in the year 2025,” he added
