Jorge Rodríguez: Earthquakes to date have left 2,295 dead

One week after the two earthquakes that devastated our country, the number of people killed by this natural disaster rises to 2,295, while the total number of injured people rises to 11,267.
This was reported by the president of the National Assembly (AN), deputy Jorge Rodríguez, who stressed that to date there are 12,841 people affected.
“For 48 hours, President Delcy Rodrígue z ordered that the process of taking these people to temporary camps be accelerated, with sufficient conditions of habitability, health, care for food, hydration, care for children, trauma, etc.,” he said during the daily balance sheet presented by the National Government on the catastrophe situation.
In this regard, he explained that, so far, 25 camps are active: 13 in La Guaira; 8 in the Capital District; 2 Miranda; 1 in Carabobo and 1 in Yaracuy. He also stressed that all State institutions are working to set up new temporary camps.
“We are working quickly to equip them with temporary camps to open a significant number in the coming days,” he stressed.
On the other hand, he indicated that the National Government has provided care to 81,589 families, while 8,893,000 kilos of food and 27,714 bags of food have been distributed.
