The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, after exercising his right to vote at the Padre Mendoza del Valle Basic School, assured that the country “who speaks is the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and who expresses himself is the People”.

In this regard, he expressed his satisfaction with the electoral process and invited voters to come and express their will, through the vote.

He also highlighted the effectiveness of the Venezuelan electoral system, while recalling that it was not easy to reach this date, “we arrived after an arduous and tenacious fight against violence, against sanctions, against the blockade, against extremism and here we are the Venezuelans who are well expressing our opinion.”

In addition, he pointed out that Venezuelans “are giving a new election to the whole world (...) we are giving them a lesson in citizenship, in true democracy, in peace.”

He indicated that despite the fact that “some people said that we were not going to hold the elections, that there were not going to be elections and here is the reliable proof that in “Venezuela who speaks is the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and who speaks is the People”.
