The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, reported that as of this Thursday, July 9th, a total of 6,462 people have been rescued and, so far, 86,794 families affected by the double earthquake are being cared for by the Venezuelan State.
Meanwhile, the death toll from the earthquakes rose to 3,889 and the total number of injuries recorded to date is 16,740 injured.
He explained, from his Telegram account, that 89 temporary camps have been installed for the care of 16,891 people who partially or completely lost their homes. He indicated that a total of 17,907 people are homeless, after the damage caused by the double earthquake of June 24. A total of 856 buildings were affected, of which 190 collapsed.
This Thursday's report details that a total of 9,603 tons of food have been distributed and medical care has been provided to 28,836 people.
