This Thursday, January 29, the president of the National Assembly (AN), deputy Jorge Rodríguez, at the end of a mobilization carried out in the city of Caracas by the country's oil workers, after delivering the amended Hydrocarbons Law, stated that it is “a historic day that will mean a before and after in the hydrocarbon industry of Venezuela”.
He specified that thanks to the workers of the hydrocarbons company, it was possible to maintain production in the country. “You are the ones who staged the fiercest fight that the workers of this country have ever had to protect the oil and hydrocarbons industry. They are the protagonists of the story to come”.
Rodríguez also thanked the deputies of the AN for their work. “There were more than 120 proposals that were presented after the first discussion, so that the deputies could work on a bill that is now being sanctioned and that will be projected for one hundred years.”
When handing over the law to the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez for her signature, the president of the AN said “today the reform of the Venezuelan Organic Hydrocarbons Law was sanctioned by the AN as the constitution says to hand it over to you and I can only say that we have approved this law in the name of God, of the Venezuelan homeland and with the immortal example of El Libertador, for our daughters and sons and for the future that we will build and of the prosperity that we will recover and that we deserve forever”.
