The president of the National Assembly (AN), Deputy Jorge Rodríguez, urged all deputies to defend Peace in the face of possible provocations that only seek division between Venezuelans. “Let's insist that the path is Peace,” he emphasized.
He urged us not to fall into provocations and to become defenders of peace, “because once again, paid, they are looking for a way to divide us Venezuelans; let us insist on peace, because that is the path and let us not allow modern extremism to ravage the territory of the Republic again.”
“Just as it has sometimes been used inappropriately by law enforcement officials, it is also true that there has been a systematic campaign of incitement to hatred and incitement to division and confrontation between Venezuelans and Venezuelans,” he said.
In this regard, Rodríguez reported that this Thursday, February 19, an act of vandalism was carried out against the plaque located in Plaza Jorge Rodríguez, owned by the revolutionary Jorge Rodríguez, father, located at the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), in Caracas.
He recalled that this square was named after the University Council of the UCV in 1976, where two fully identified individuals wrote “kidnapper”, “murderer” and “guerrilla fighter” on the plaque that identifies the monument.
During the regular session at the Federal Legislative Palace, within the framework of the debate in the second discussion of the Amnesty Law for Democratic Coexistence, he argued that this act is aimed at instigating facts so that attention is drawn to controversy and sterile discussion.
In his speech, Rodríguez showed a photo of those responsible for the act of violence in the aforementioned square.
