The president of the National Assembly (LAN), Jorge Rodríguez, read and reported this Thursday, during the regular session, on the decision taken by the United States Senate prohibiting the use of U.S. armed forces in hostile actions inside or against Venezuela.
“Approved by a vote of 50 votes in favor and 44 against a resolution in the Senate of the United States of America deciding to remove the armed forces of the United States of America from any form of hostility within or against Venezuela,” Rodríguez read.
It should be noted that the initiative was presented by senators Tim Kaine, Adam Schiff and Rand Paul, who argued that there is no legal justification for military operations inside Venezuela.
