In recognition of the efforts of Zamoran youth, in Guatire, Miranda state, they are preparing for the delivery of the José Félix Ribas Order, in connection with the upcoming commemoration of the Battle of Victory Day and Youth Day.
According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, the Council of the Order will consist of the president of the Municipal Council, the president of the Permanent Commission on Youth and Sports, the Permanent Commission for Social Development, a representation of the local executive and a representation of popular power, appointed by the communal councils.
Councilman Jesús García Castro, vice-president of the Municipal Council and president of the Standing Committee on Youth and Sports, explained after the regular session that the National Assembly is carrying out a call process that, in this case, ends on January 30, for the reception of nominations from figures, as well as from institutions, both private and public.
He specified that they must meet a series of requirements to opt for the order, which will be submitted to evaluation by the Order's Council for final acceptance.
Last year, the Ordinance on the Creation of the José Félix Riba Order was completely amended, which now includes the eponym “winner of tyrants in Victory”. In addition, his motive was modified; a more explicit portrait was made regarding the life and work of José Félix Ribas.
Young people to receive the order must be between 15 and 20 years old and are recognized for their work to highlight the name of the municipality of Zamora in various areas such as sports, culture and social struggle, as did the heroes in the Battle of Victory.
