The Venezuelan José Maita placed eighth in his heat in the 800 meters at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, with a mark of 1:48.02 meters.
The Venezuelan will have a new chance and will play the repechage on Thursday 8th at 06:00am (Venezuela time) to seek his way to the semifinals.
The British Ben Pattison with a time of 1:45.56 took first place in this set, followed by the South African Edmund du Plessis with 1:45.73 and the Kenyan Wyclife Kinyamal with 1:45.02.
