Within the framework of the Safe Holy Week, Peace and Prosperity Plan 2026, the Governor of the state of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán, led, together with José Vázquez, president of the Venezuelan Volleyball Federation, the start of the First Valid National Beach Volleyball Championship, held on the high courts performance of the emblematic Los Caracas Holiday City.

The regional president was accompanied by Vásquez during a tour that made it possible to verify the technical deployment and competitive quality of more than 62 athletes, between men and women, who meet on the central coast.

During the activity, the Terán emphasized that this event not only seeks the blending of the national elections, but is part of a comprehensive strategy for the development of the state:

“This national validity is essential for the preparation of our team in La Guaira, which is already giving satisfactory results. In addition, these events boost the local economy, directly strengthening the Sports and Tourism Route in our region,” he said.

For his part, José Vázquez, the national authority of the discipline, highlighted the generational change observed in the Guaireña arenas. He especially highlighted the performance of young women aged 15 and 16, who have demonstrated admirable technical preparation, positioning themselves as the future of Venezuelan beach volleyball.
