Within the framework of the II National Popular Consultation 2025, the state of Lara is an epicenter of citizen participation, where communities mobilize to decide on projects that will transform their environments.

Aníbal Gómez, representative of the Maestro Expedito Cortés Commune, highlighted the importance of this process: “We are here in the consultation to collect community projects. The idea is that all people come out to vote, choose their best project so that we can solve our problems as a community, following the recommendation of our president, Commander Nicolás Maduro.”

For his part, Antonio Mosquera, another community spokesperson, called for mass participation: “We invite all people in the commune, from Transandino to Simón Rodríguez and along Francisco de Miranda Avenue to Juan de Salamanca, to attend and vote for the option that most benefits their community. Today we have seven proposals that represent great opportunities for local development.”

The Second National Popular Consultation 2025, which is being held throughout the national territory, the National Electoral Council (CNE) enabled more than 5,718 voting centers and 7,438 polling stations. This process allows communities to prioritize projects among more than 30,000 proposals presented in citizen assemblies, framed in the Seven Transformations Plan (7T), promoted by President Nicolás Maduro.
