The state team Lara was crowned this Sunday in the 20th National Youth Kickingball Championship, after defeating Portuguesa in the grand final with a score of 9 races by 8.

The decisive meeting was characterized by the offensive parity of both delegations. For Portuguesa, Rosangela Gutiérrez stood out, who was chosen as MPV in the final after winning 4-1 with a double and two RBIs, according to the press release of the Ministry of People's Power for Sport.

Despite the efforts of the llanera offensive, the victory from the pitching circle went to Denismar Porteles from Larense. The starter completed a five-inning job in which she allowed a single hit and prescribed four strikeouts to secure the national title.

In the match for third place, Miranda beat Yaracuy with a strong score of 13-3. The power of the Mirandina delegation was led by Andrea Romero, who scored two doubles and scored two runs in four rounds.

The winning pitcher was Oraisys Aguilera, with a solid job of 5 innings in which she only allowed a clean run and fanned a rival.

Individually, Camila Nieves from Portuguesa stood out as the most valuable player in the qualifying round, also leading the home run and slugging statistics.

In the pitching department, Yuliannys Flores, representative of Apure, obtained the best average effectiveness of the national tournament.

The event held from April 14 to 18 at the Rivero Villarroel stadium in Lechería, Anzoátegui, was attended by 23 states.

With these results, the delegations of Lara, Portuguesa, Miranda, Yaracuy, Bolivar, Carabobo and Anzoátegui secured direct qualification to the 2026 Youth National Sports Games.

This group of seven states will include the representation of La Guaira, which already has a guaranteed place due to its status as the venue for the highest event in national youth sports.
