The state of Lara registered a total capacity of hotels in the municipalities of Iribarren and Palavecino during the mobilization of the Divine Shepherdess, while the rest of the jurisdictions registered an availability of 28%, driven by the flow of visitors from Portuguesa, Barinas, Trujillo, Yaracuy, Carabobo and the Capital District, said the president of the Lara Tourism Chamber, Antonio José Morales.
During a telephone call on the Al Aire program, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), Morales indicated that the evolution of demand responds to the mass displacement associated with the 168th edition of the religious demonstration.
Morales stressed that the activity constitutes the largest Marian concentration in the country and one of the most numerous in the world. He indicated that the estimated participation is between two and a half million and two million eight hundred thousand people.
He added that more than five thousand officials will be distributed along the route, including members of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), regional police forces and the Bolivarian National Police, in addition to 20 medical assistance points equipped to respond to any eventuality.
Morales stressed that the day attracts devotees from all over the country and reaffirms the collective nature of tradition.
