The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, asserted that the West has failed because of the paths it has taken, which is why it must find a way out “without looking bad”.

In this regard, Lavrov called on the West to recognize “the legitimacy of Russian claims” in the conflict with Ukraine, that is, about the “rejection of militarization” of the country, the “refusal to expand NATO”, “rejection of the Nazi policy of legislative and physical extermination of Russians and Russian-speakers on Ukrainian territory”.

According to what was published on the RT website, the Russian foreign minister also rejected “the peace formula” of the Ukrainian president, Vladimir Zelensky, calling it a “farce” because they do not promote a true agreement between both parties, but the terms indicate that Russia “must capitulate”, “return to the borders of 1991” and “pay reparations”, while Russian leaders “will be tried by a court martial”.

“This is a farce and, at the very least, an unsuccessful initiative, it 's clear to everyone,” he emphasized.
