The Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, commemorated the birth of Karl Marx through his Telegram channel.

The diplomat assured that Marx's theory “remains the fundamental pillar in the class struggle for social justice. His legacy still beats in our peoples and inspires us to move forward in the search for a world of true social justice.”

Marx was a revolutionary, sociologist, historian and economist, co-author of The Communist Manifesto (together with Friedrich Engels) and author of Capital, works that laid the foundations of Marxism.

His main work is a critical analysis of capitalism in which he proposes that history advances through class struggle.
