The Librería del Sur Foundation will have a headquarters in the spaces of the San Benito Center for Cultural Diversity, due to the alliance with the mayor of the Paz Castillo municipality of Miranda state, Víctor Julio González, with the purpose that, under the premise “We are what we read”, the magic of reading captures the Luciteño.

The municipal president, together with the executive director of the foundation, Gladys Ortega, signed the document of lending an office for its operation. “For us, it is a pleasure to soon inaugurate our headquarters in Bookstores of the South in Santa Lucía, this being the only one in the axis of the Valles del Tuy. This agreement that we have signed is between the Ministry of Culture and the Mayor's Office of Paz Castillo,” he said.

He also explained that for the operation, “we will give instructions to the bookseller that the mayor will appoint, who will be trained through a course that we will teach him; the intention is that the community has a place for the enjoyment of reading, the promotion of real books.”

He indicated that 700 titles will be available at the Librería del Sur Santa Lucía from the publishers of the Ministry of Culture platform, such as Monte Ávila Editores, El Perro y la Rana, Biblioteca Ayacucho. Also from texts by Editorial Trinchera, Vadell Hermanos, the Fund for Culture, Economy of Mexico and private publishers.
