Luis Sardiñas won the LVBP Best Player of the Week award

The ambidextrous slugger of Navegantes del Magallanes, Luis Sardiñas won the Best Player of the Week award, during the period between December 22 and 27.
In the last week of the regular round, Sardiñas became an essential piece for the Electricals to get their direct pass to the Round Robin of the 2025-2026 season of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP).
Sardiñas led the circuit in bases reached (16) and was co-leader both in extra base (4) and in runs scored (6) and home runs (2), as well as second in RBIs (7) and hits (8), LVBP press reports.
The Upata native, meanwhile, showed a stratospheric offensive line of .571/.600/.1143 for OPS of 1,743, winning the weekly award for the second time in his LVBP career.
The infielder garnered 43% of the votes of the accredited press to cover the incidents of the circuit. He was escorted by his teammate Rougned Odor (29%) and pitcher Harold González (16%) from Caribes de Anzoátegui.
