Maiquetía International Airport will reactivate cargo area operations on August 5

The Maiquetía International Airport Institute (IAIM) announced this Friday, July 31, in a statement that, starting next Wednesday, August 5, cargo aviation operations will be reactivated.

The measure includes both arriving and departing flights from Simón Bolívar International Airport. The resumption is part of a process of “progressive restoration of airport services”.

The IAIM assured that the operational safety and efficiency standards established by national and international aeronautical regulations will be met, detailed through the Ministry of People's Power for Transportation (MPPT).

By means of circular No. IAIM-DG-2026-0000631, warehousing companies, customs agents and regulatory bodies were notified of this restart. Currently, the institution performs the necessary administrative and commercial tasks to ensure the provision of services in the area.

The general director of IAIM, Aníbal Bellorín Pereira, reaffirmed his commitment to offering safe and quality services for all operators. Commercial concessions were urged to carry out the necessary work to resume their activities in a coordinated manner.
