Manuel Díaz won the silver medal in the 200m Men's Butterfly at the Central American Games

Venezuelan Manuel Díaz won the silver medal in the men's 200m Butterfly final at the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games.

With a time of 1:58.07 Díaz climbed to second place on the podium, while Noel Raekwon from Guyana took first place and Arizpe Rafael from Mexico took third place.

This is the second medal for Díaz, after the one won in the 4x100 freestyle relay event, along with Jorge Otaiza, Dennis Pérez and Emil Pérez.

This Thursday, July 30, he will play the men's 100m Butterfly final at the Juan Pablo Duarte Aquatic.

So far the Venezuelan swimming delegation has won 14 medals, of which 5 are silver and 9 are bronze.
