Holy Week 2026 continues to show impressive successes in tourism, consolidating the Maracaibo Terrestrial Terminal as a key reference after ensuring the safe transfer of 43,200 passengers.

In addition, of this figure, the director of the institution, Lenín González, specified that 25,000 passengers were from Zulia, for which 500 transport units were activated to towns such as Paraguachón, Santa Bárbara de l Zulia and the East Coast of the Lake, in addition to other iconic routes in the national territory.

The daily flow was estimated at about 7,700 tourists, who mainly traveled to Caracas, Charallave, Valencia, Maracay, Trujillo, Mérida and Falcón, among the 19 most sought after routes. González highlighted the tranquility of the day thanks to the deployment of 60 officials from the various State security forces. “Really, it has been very mobilized this Holy Week and all our town had enough security and no incidents were reported during this day,” he said.

In addition to recreational tourism, the Christian faith set the tone with a special route from the Zulian capital to the town of Isnotú, in homage to San José Gregorio Hernández.
